Goal
Progress
Give rating of RED, YELLOW or GREEN to indicate your progress toward meeting this goal. Include information on your current progress toward this goal that explains your rating. Refer to assessment tools and data in your workplan to explain how you are using data to track your progress.
Next Steps
Outline your next steps toward meeting this goal.
Example: Fellows learn and implement at least 3 new classroom discipline strategies this year.
YELLOW: We have made progress toward meeting this goal but still face some challenges that prevent us from being able to rate this as green at this time. The PD session that we attended was very successful; the exit surveys from Fellows showed that 100% of them acquired at least 2 new classroom management skills in their classrooms. However, 2 Fellows have not seen a decrease in discipline referrals and 1 Fellow has seen an increase in referrals.
- A Fellow in the group who has had a decrease in referrals will observe and provide feedback to a Fellow who has had an increase in discipline referrals - At our next group meeting (on 10/30) we will have a discussion about the various strategies we are each using and the corresponding results
Goal 1:
Teachers will identify best practices in inquiry based science instruction in rubrics or checklists.
Green: we've created the rubric, but we haven't used it to assess our lessons for best practice.
Our plan for December 2 is to evaluate unit lessons using the rubric for goal 2.
Goal 2:
Teachers develop improved science inquiry lessons aligned with the new Essential Standards and create assessments based on best practices.
Yellow: We started a crosswalk to see what we have and identified lessons that worked for both old and new standards. We have not created lessons that correlate with the Essential Standards.
3/28 - Lime: We have created lessons/acitivites for all new CC, Essential Standards Yellow: Assessments need to be updated
Weather: Kelly and Kimberly
Force and Motion: Jerri and Mary Taylor
Ecosystems: Tori and Molly
Human body: Tonya and Holly
We also need to reevaluate our current assessments as well as create assessments for new Essential Standards.
We need to create the lessons that correlate with the Essential Standards using the rubric.
Goal 3:
Using lessons previously developed and compiled with concept specific interventions, enrichment and teaching strategies, students demonstrate growth from pre and post tests.
Yellow: We have created our data collection tool, but we don't have enough data to evaluate our data (post test for weather, pretest for landforms only).
3/28- Lime: We have complete pre and post data for landforms and ecosystems. We have pre-test for Force and motion complete, post has not be administered yet.
We need to create assessments for the next units for this year ecosystems, force and motion. Create assessments for new new unit on human body and analyze all assessments for this year. Analyze post data for weather to guide our reteaching for the year.
